We are very excited and happy to offer this new support service for the still-young-at-heart seniors who would love to continue to living in the comfort of their own Sweet Home and are not ready/needy yet to move into any unfamiliar care home. We provide simple non-medical support services with love and warmth in our hearts, just like how we would look after our own family.
We are the “substitute family” when the actual family are away! We give more value for your money, we create and nurture a friendly relationship based on love, care and respect. We work as a great team, and feel privileged to facilitate your dream come true, of living independently as yet! You may need our services, periodically, regularly or for just one-off time, when you are away for a while and would want some reliable people to just check-in to make sure all is well and perhaps help to connect with each other via skype.
Need-Based Care Plan:
Just as you want! We are friendly, caring and flexible. And we laugh a lot! And we love singing too!! (In a few Indian languages). Loads of positive references available. The indoor and outdoor services as noted below, are suggestions only, we are happy to discuss your particular need and chart out the services that is right for you to enable you to continue to live independently in your own home.
After the initial phone contact, we will visit the home of the wonderful service beneficiary along with the person/s who are initiating the service (if applicable). Following introductions and if needed, checking our credentials and references, we will help create a Need Based Support Plan for the beneficiary, irrespective of whether you need it as one-off, periodic or regular support. If you need help with appointments, we will pick you or your family from home and visit the venue and be there for the entire time, take notes of important information and drop back home and help settle down.
The services offered are twofold: Indoor Support and Outdoor Support:
Indoor Support
- Companionship like special dinner & movie night-in, friendly meaningful chatting, light Bollywood dance and laughter yoga exercises and learning creative hobbies like painting and crafting
- Meals, snacks and beverages
- Basic home management and light housekeeping
- Pet care and pet sitting
- Reminding to take medications and open blister pack containers
- Reminding personal care and hygiene ensuring fresh change of clothes
- Connecting with families, especially grandchildren, across globe through skype chatting
Outdoor Support:
- Running small errands including visit to post office and salon
- Shopping: Grocery, household, clothing, gifts and others
- Professional appointments including Doctor, Dentist, pharmacist and medical tests
- Attending family and community events, movies and recreational activities like swimming, library
- Sightseeing for fun and relaxation
- Light gardening, watering plants
Services that are not provided are:
Personal care and hygiene
Administering medication
Transfer from one position (such as lying in bed) to another position (such as sitting in a wheelchair and toilets)
Please choose from the following three Service Packages:
A. All is well!
One hour Check-in: Meeting and greeting, making sure all is well! If the special person loves the aromatic ginger Chai or just an English cuppa, we are happy to make and serve it. This package will provide socialization opportunity to remedy isolation and loneliness and to rejuvenate with inspiring conversation on spirituality, wonderful family memories and others. We are open for a quick half-hour check-ins on a daily or weekly basis to ensure all-is-well!
B. Make Me Comfortable!
Half-Day Four hours support: As per the initial Need Based Support Plan that we will formulate at the time of registration, we will engage in the Indoor services such as providing companionship, organizing tea and snacks, light housekeeping, and others. And/or accompanying for an appointment or short family visit.
C. Make My Day!
Full Day- Eight hours or more: As per the initial Need Based Support Plan that we will formulate at the time of registration, we will engage in the Indoor and/or outdoor activities or run errands according to the appointments or take the beneficiary for a full day outing to local parks, beaches, community or family events, movies and other recreational activities.
